Foundational Principles

Leadership-as-a-Service Model

Mission Critical exists to:

  • Improve the security and resilience of the 16 US critical infrastructure sectors;
  • Facilitate collaboration between thought leaders, policymakers, and pivotal stakeholders;
  • Elevate the national dialogue around critical infrastructure information security topics.

Mission Critical achieves its objectives by developing publicly-available research and meeting the needs of trusted partners, sector communities, and the US public.

Expert Focus

Cybersecurity is inundated by buzzwords, empty promises, and faux thought leaders. To maintain the upmost integrity and achieve the greatest impact, Mission Critical is dedicated to elevating brands and showcasing the insights of experts who are critical infrastructure leaders, innovators, and disruptors.

Collaborative Methodology

Critical Infrastructure cannot be secured without a whole-of-nation, stakeholder-driven approach that facilitates collaboration between academia, the public sector, and government stakeholders.

Objective Research

Mission Critical's interdisciplinary research is developed and disseminated through a stakeholder model that demands the highest standards of academic rigor and a comprehensive peer review process.

Non-Partisan Commitment

Research and advisories never exhibit political or personal biases. All published content relies on credible sourcing and objective analysis of the topic.

Non-Technical Communication of Technical Topics

US critical infrastructure spans 16 sectors. Meanwhile, Information Security is the practice of mitigating risk according to the people, processes, and technology that define a system.  Critical Infrastructure Information Security demands a broad and in-depth scope of knowledge. Field barriers and knowledge silos inhibit cross-sector and interdisciplinary collaboration with crucial stakeholders, thought leaders, and policymakers.

Instead of eschewing understanding, Mission Critical is committed to translating technical subjects into digestible content and actionable guidance for non-technical and technical audiences alike.
